“Lucky Rooster” is a textural image that grew out of my interest in animals with unique textures. While I was creating my rooster though, I was reminded about the significance of the rooster in the home throughout history. Some cultures kept the rooster in the kitchen, others throughout the home to bring good luck, and ward off bad spirits. I hope that this rooster finds luck in many different homes, and maybe even your kitchen!
This print is a a reduction relief print, carved in 4 separate layers. The image size is 7.5″ x 5.75″, with a large border, to allow for different framing options. The image is printed using water based ink on Stonehenge paper. This is a limited edition image, although printed in several different colour options.
This is a hand printed image, meaning that each print will differ slightly from the image shown. This is not a reflection of the quality of the print, but rather a highlight of the nature of the process.
